What is OneDrive for Business? – In simple words, OneDrive for Business is a user’s personal My Documents folder on the Cloud.
It was formerly known as SkyDrive Pro also replacing My Sites in on-perm SharePoint\Office 365. Technically, Microsoft OneDrive uses Blob storage to save your data on Microsoft’s data centers.
What is OneDrive for Business Used for? – It is used for storing documents like your My Documents folder is. Users however, can also share documents with other co-workers or users Internally or externally.
What does OneDrive for Business Needs? –OneDrive for Business needs a valid Microsoft account and OneDrive for Business sync client to sync back documents to your cloud OneDrive that you have worked on while being Offline. Where does the Offline Documents go OneDrive for Business? –The documents will be created under “OneDrive for Business” tag on your computer when you Sync it.
The OneDrive for Business sync client has different system requirements than the OneDrive client.
What other features are available with OneDrive for Business? – It inherits all the basic SharePoint document library features like versions, download etc. but it also has it’s own support options like who the documents are shared with, a recycle bin etc.

What are the space limitations? – OneDrive for Business with Office Online provides 1 TB of storage space. The limit depends on the plan that your business is using in Office 365. An Office 365 admin would not want to give 1TB to each user for sure.
